Human Resources Consulting

At Zealy Stewart & Associates LLC, our Human Resources Consulting division works together with clients to best leverage their human capital. We put together creative programs to assist both the organization and the employee in reaching their fullest potential.

Human Resources ConsultingServices are both strategic and tactical: We advise clients as to what’s needed based on internal and external factors and then we implement those recommendations.

Human Resources Consulting falls under three umbrellas:

  • Ownership
  • Organizational Readiness
  • Organizational Investment

Ownership

This refers to all the interconnected elements that make an employee committed to a company. Together, the total package – consisting of the monetary as well as the nonmonetary — weaves a web of loyalty, providing employees with a stake in the company’s success and spurring them to maximum output. ZSA provides consulting services in each of the following areas on an as-needed basis:

  • Compensation – salary and bonus
  • Benefits – medical, dental, flex account, childcare, etc.
  • Equity– makes the employee part of the company’s overall growth
  • Profit Sharing
  • Stock Options
  • Rewards and Recognition – usually nonmonetary, such as company outings or award ceremonies. Although most HR calculations do not include these costs, ZSA recognizes them as an integral part of the package.
  • Retention – another nonmonetary element. Involves keeping employees informed about what’s going on; dispelling rumors; making them feel part of the company; making sure they understand where they fit in, how their skills can best benefit the organization, and what plans the firm has for their futures.

Organizational Readiness

In its role as Human Resources counselor, ZSA also works closely with organizations to pinpoint who they really need to meet their goals and how all the diverse players can successfully work together. Our experienced consultants work with clients on a number of fronts, including:

  • Staffing Strategies – helping a firm find the best people and grow their employee base in a productive and cost-effective manner
  • Employee Relations – ensuring that employees interact in as professional a manner as possible; mediating disagreements, personality conflicts, individual differences in work style and other employee interactions that can interfere with overall productivity
  • Inclusion – assisting a firm in attracting and retaining a broad cross-section of qualified people

Organizational Investment

Depending on the industry, most organizations invest anywhere from 25% to 75% of their budget on their people. As seasoned professionals, ZSA’s expert staff ensures that a company’s investment in its people is appropriate – that all activities further company goals and contribute to employee growth. Key components of Organizational Investment include:

  • Executive Coaching – Personalized one-on-one activities for middle to upper level managers that identify areas of weakness and build on strengths. Behavioral analysis, 360-degree feedback and other procedures facilitate the process.
  • Training Needs – ZSA conducts an in-depth needs assessment for employees and then designs a program to meet those needs. The assessment includes a cost-benefit analysis.
  • Organizational Development — Just as we capitalize on the strengths and strengthen the weaknesses of employees, ZSA can also address an organization’s strengths and weaknesses. We conduct both top-down and bottom-up analyses of how an organization is structured and how this relates to the competition. Based on this input, ZSA develops suggestions for improving an organization’s competitiveness and bottom-line productivity.
