Fred Robinson, PhD
Fred Robinson, PhD, Managing Director of the Research & Development Practice, brings to Zealy Stewart & Associates both the academic and business acumen needed to succeed in this cutting-edge arena. Diverse yet interrelated industries under his umbrella include pharmaceuticals, chemicals, biotechnology, medical devices and life sciences. Because Fred has both a PhD in organic chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania and recruitment experience as well as extensive service in the marketing, sales and manufacturing of products featuring polymers and surfactants, he is uniquely equipped to lead and direct searches for the ideal candidates in these highly specialized fields. With more than 25 years of experience, he holds at least a dozen patents in polymers, monomers, surfactants and cosmetics, leading to the development and marketing of ten commercial products.
Prior to joining Zealy Stewart, Fred was a section manager at Rhone Poulenc for water polymers and cosmetic products. Previously, he served as a research scientist at Union Carbide, working on water-borne industrial coating systems and also recruiting chemists and engineers for various projects. He was also Director of Polymer Research at Alcolac, and rose from research chemist to R&D group leader at Rohm & Haas.
Fred has a BS degree in organic chemistry from Temple University in Philadelphia and a PhD from University of Pennsylvania.
